It was joked about on his fiftieth birthday that he had more cars than he had birthdays. He enjoyed shooting sports and hunting, but he loved photography and was often the person behind the lens and not in front of it.

The family would like to thank Melva Adams for her help with William and the thoughtful care she provided leading to a peaceful transition from this life.
