William "Floyd" Suttle

January 5, 1941 — April 9, 2023

A funeral service honoring the life of Floyd Suttle, age 82, of Centerville, Texas will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Pastor Mark Gray will officiate the service, assisted by Pastor Tuffy Loftin. Interment will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery on the Suttle property. A time of visitation and fellowship will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.


William "Floyd" Suttle was born in the Nineveh Community of Leon County, Texas on January 5, 1941. His parents were Harvey J.B. & Hattie Bell (Lummus) Suttle. Floyd served his country in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman. He had retired as a Farm Manager at the Ferguson Unit in Midway, Texas and enjoyed his retired years as a dedicated rancher and cattleman. Floyd also liked hunting, playing with his newest puppy, "Wild Willie" and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Floyd had lived in Leon County since 1987 and was a member of the Centerville Masonic Lodge #1291. Floyd passed away at his home April 9, 2023 with his family by his side.


Preceding Floyd in death were both of his parents and sister, Silvia Richards. Surviving family members include devoted wife, Nancy Suttle of Centerville; daughters, Vickey Goodrum and husband, Jason of Willis and Kim Cummings and husband, Ricky of Centerville; brother, Harvey Suttle of Centerville and sister, Starlene Turner of Centerville. Floyd is also survived by his grandchildren, Taylor and Logan Cummings, both of Centerville.

In lieu of flowers, the Suttle family kindly requests memorial donations made to the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department.


Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
