On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Yvonne Tolliver Burchett, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her Centerville home at the age of eighty-seven.

Yvonne was born May 21, 1936 in Pike County, Kentucky.  She was the oldest of five siblings.  Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother, Caroline Scarberry Toliver; her father, James Monroe Tolliver; her brother, Thurman Tolliver and great-grandson, Avrhett Labig.  She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Ronald Burchett; her children, Gregory "Michael" Hatfield, Veronica Jean Hatfield and Rodney Brian Burchett (wife, Madonna Gibson Burchett); grandchildren, Kierstyn Yvonne Labig, Elizabeth Shae Burchett and Kailey Labig Patterson (husband, Chad Patterson); great-grandchildren, Aleigha Labig, Adalynn Labig and Memphis Patterson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne had a passion for family.  She was a dedicated mother and grandmother.  She loved to cook and entertain for all of her family and friends.  She would travel all over the world, whether it be for mission trips to spread the word of the God she loved so much, or just to take a vacation.  Yvonne never met a stranger.

A funeral service honoring Yvonne's life will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Walters Funeral Home, 610 S. Commerce St., Centerville, Texas 75833.  Rev. Bobby W. Burleson will officiate the service.  Interment will follow in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, Texas.

Flowers are requested from Arabella's Floral Design in Palestine, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
